ANILINE LEATHER

This product is made from premium full-grain aniline leather, renowned for its luxury appeal & suitability for boutique settings. Aniline leather is considered the finest quality & most natural-looking type of leather. Its strength, soft feel, & artistic textures showcase the unique irregularities on the hide’s surface, highlighting its distinct character

Made from the topmost layer of the hide, the most durable & desirable part. This leather undergoes an aniline treatment using soluble dyes to preserve its natural grain, markings, scars, & wrinkles. This process ensures that the leather remains in its most natural, raw, & soft state, with no protective coating applied

During the aniline dyeing process, the leather absorbs dye at varying rates, leading to high colour variation. The natural oils in the leather, combined with the aniline dye, subtly affect the final hue, making each hide one of a kind. Since no pigments or coatings are used, the leather absorbs spills quickly & has low stain resistance, requiring careful maintenance

Only around 5% of full-grain leather hides are considered perfect enough for aniline treatment, further emphasising its premium quality. Over time, this leather will develop a patina quickly, aging beautifully while remaining soft & supple due to the lack of additional processing or stiffening treatments
